and Safety Programme

Desaru Coast Destination Resort (“Desaru Coast”) wishes to inform all guests and patrons that we have strengthened our health and safety precautionary measures, above and beyond the prescribed standard, throughout the destination in the wake of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases.

As a destination, we have been uncompromising in the safety and comfort of guests and employees since the onset of the pandemic. We have initiated Stay Well @ Desaru Coast, a proactive and strict destination-wide health and safety programme, which is purposed to continuously strengthen our precautionary measures and help build awareness on minimising the spread of the virus. 

Under the Stay Well @ Desaru Coast programme, the following initiatives have been heightened:

  • - Employees at Desaru Coast undergo weekly screening and testing. On the ground, temperature screening for all employees has been implemented. Further to this, our employees self-declare their travels outside the destination district. All staff attend the frequent briefing sessions and receive updates on the latest safety recommendations.

  • - At the point of check-in at hotels, along with temperature screening, all guests are further screened based on a recommended health questionnaire protocol. Guests are advised to reach out to hotel personnel should they feel unwell or consult a doctor immediately.

  • - Beyond these measures, all hotels, golf clubs and attractions have increased the cleaning frequency and sanitisation across their premises, with additional attention at public spaces.

  • - At the management level, our Operations Team conducts timely progress updates to ensure everyone is kept informed of any developments and that up-to-date precautionary measures are adopted. The destination’s emergency response protocols have been aligned with the local health authorities’ guidelines.

We are committed to being vigilant while continuing to work closely with the authorities to safeguard all guests, visitors and employees. At the same time, we also seek the full co-operation of guests to observe public health and safety SOPs in order to keep the wider community safe.

Visiting Desaru Coast

The health and safety of our guests, employees and the destination are our priority. We will be embarking on a new Standard Operating Procedures that is aligned with the government’s directive to keep the public safe and to flatten the curve on Covid-19. Therefore, we will be undertaking certain safety measures which includes security and temperature checks within the destination.

Visiting Desaru Coast

1. Leisure travel is not allowed during this period of Movement Control Order. If you’re a business traveler, kindly bring along your travel permits from authorities, company or employer letter and a copy of your meeting or booking confirmation.
Yes. We strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures which are aligned with the Government’s directive and advice from the Ministry of Health Malaysia in terms of security and wellbeing.
Yes. Temperature check is mandatory and will conducted at all entrances to Desaru Coast.
Desaru Coast is owned by a private entity and under its jurisdiction, the owner may instill tighter security measures to protect its properties in accordance with the Government’s directive.
